IEEE SB, TKMCE aims to work to the best of its capabilities for ensuring an all round improvement in the personality traits, professional proficiency and creative skills of its student members. It thus presents itself as an asset to IEEE hence promoting mutual development. The Student Branch was inaugurated on November 1986 by Er. Koruthu P Varghese. It was active from the first day of its establishment. Lively, informative chronicle of events and activities were conducted from then onwards. The first mega event organized by our student branch was named "National Science and Technology Meet" held from September 18-24, 1989. The event was inaugurated by Sri. S.Krishnakumar, the then Hon. Union Minister of state for Information and Broadcasting. Later, a series of programs were organized not only to improve technological knowledge but also the managerial skill of students.
